Data Engineer in Dornbirn / Vienna

Job description

Do you have extensive PL / SQL development experience and very good Oracle knowledge to design and optimize ETL processes? Do you want to be involved in building new ETL flows between Oracle and GCP? Then you could be our next Data Engineer!

In this role...

you will be responsible for the further development and optimization of the ETL processes in a first project. You extract and transform a wide variety of customer data and automate the data delivery and data provision processes. After successfully completing this project, you have the opportunity to work on a new ETL process from Oracle to GCP and also modernising other data flows currently built using Talend. 

Furthermore you will ...

  • Analyze and organize raw & complex data sets
  • Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling
  • Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
  • Identify opportunities for data acquisition
  • Create and manage the technological infrastructure of a data platform
  • Collaborate with data scientist and architect
  • Interact independently and pro-actively with other departments (e.g. IT, Product Development) to assure a well synchronized and coordinated approach
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of the general IT architecture and respect it

  • Completed technical training at an HTL, FH or university
  • Training focus on IT, database development, database administration, data management, data science, business intelligence, software development, software engineering, etc.
  • Very good knowledge and relevant experience in ETL design and ETL process optimization
  • Very good PL / SQL knowledge and relevant experience in dealing with Oracle databases
  • As a professional, you are goal orientated and a self-starter with a hands-on approach and working method
  • Know-how to build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
  • Excellent organization, communication and analytical skills
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (TALEND, KAFKA) considered as a plus
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage

For legal reasons, we would like to point out that the collective agreement annual salary for this position is at least EUR 43.316 gross. The actual salary depends on your knowledge, skills and experience.
